Thank you for visiting Simple and Pretty! I am thrilled you have stopped by to see a few 'simple and pretty' things I like to make and want to share with others. I started with fleece Cloques and Kiques for women and girls, and the selection continues to grow. As you will see, some are very simple while others have a little more going on. All outerwear products are made from Polartec® fleece....and handmade by me.
I participate in art fairs/festivals and craft shows and would love for you to stop by. "Like" my Facebook page (Simple and Pretty) and follow me on Instagram (simpleandprettybyfaf) to see which shows I will be participating in. You'll also see posts of new products as they are introduced.
Nature Photo Note Cards:
I have recently begun a line of handmade cards featuring photos from the Blue Ridge Mountains. A dear friend of mine is the photographer, Carole Hart Johnson.
Here is a note from Carole:
Always been a Tennessee girl in my heart and now lucky enough to live at the small homestead started by my father in the East Tennessee mountains. I am excited to share my photography of the nature that surrounds my home and places I visit. There is great detail in everything created, and I hope through my photos you will learn to look at all things differently. I do not use any fancy photo equipment or enhance my photos with any programs like Photoshop. They appear for you just like I see them...beauty in everything.
We've started with a limited variety but there are many more coming.
Another new offering is lovely handmade scarves made from a gorgeous mix of colors and textures. And, again, these are made by a dear friend with an amazing heart and eye, Lee-Ann York.
Here is Lee-Ann's message:
It's an honor to get visits to this site! As in all the blessings of my life, they are (because of) friends and family! This site and opportunity are no exception! And like my loved ones, no two scarves are alike and they are inspired by the moment in time in which they are being created. They are a metaphor for my friendships/relationships along my journey.
Every scarf has a daisy chain. This "knot" is used to preserve ropes between uses in a challenge course setting. My inner-circle of girlfriends came from this group of facilitators and grew from there! Through life's hardships, I've been able to maintain some semblance of sanity through my circle of people. Each chain, as each individual friend, has a beauty in his/her own right.
But then weave the diverse fibers together, they are a wild beauty, nonsensical, sassy, and interesting! Together they are completely imperfect, yet still majestically and richly warm, functional, and a beauty to behold!
What is your metaphor?
